What do I do if my tablet is not working as expected?
Tablet Troubleshooting
Begin by identifying the behaviour your tablet is displaying, as this determines the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Identify the issue that applies:
- Tablet is frozen or freezes frequently.
- Tablet does not turn on.
- Tablet does not charge.
- Tablet turns on but fails to initialise into the HarvestEye app.
Tablet is frozen or freezes frequently
- Hold down the power button for 5–10 seconds until the tablet shuts down. Turn on again the tablet.
- If the tablet freezes frequently, check for dust ingress on the fan vents located on the back of the case and clean as needed. If convenient, remove the case to access the back of the tablet and perform a more thorough clean.
- If the tablet continues to freeze or crash after a thorough clean, contact us at support@harvesteye.com with a description of the issue and the steps you have already taken to resolve it.
Tablet does not turn on
- If the tablet is connected to a charger, unplug it and wait 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the charger and wait a further 30 seconds.
- Attempt to turn the tablet on. If the tablet does not turn on, contact us at support@harvesteye.com with a description of the issue and the steps you have already taken to resolve it.
Tablet does not charge

If the tablet is not charging, try connecting the power cable (or USB hub, depending on your configuration) to the USB-C port normally used for the camera.
- If the tablet charges on the alternate USB-C port, the issue lies with the port normally used for charging. Clean that port to remove any debris or dust and try again.
- If the tablet does not charge on either USB-C port, the issue is likely with the tablet or the charger itself. Check that all charger cable connections are secure and try again.
- If the tablet still does not charge, the battery is likely at faulty. Contact us at support@harvesteye.com with a description of the issue and the steps you have already taken to resolve it.
Tablet does not initialise HarvestEye App
- Hold down the power button for 5–10 seconds until the tablet shuts down. Turn on again the tablet.
