What do I do if my GPS is not working?
Quick Summary:
If your HarvestEye GPS isn’t working, check it is positioned correctly with a clear view of the sky, confirm all connections are secure, and reboot the system.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
-
Check GPS Position
-
The GPS receiver must be placed outside the cab, with a clear line of sight to the sky.
-
The round lid should be pointing upwards, laid horizontally.
-
Do not place the GPS inside the cab or under material that could block the signal.
-
-
Inspect Connections
-
Ensure the GPS is securely plugged into the USB-C hub inside the cab.
-
If using the USB extender cable, check both ends are properly connected.
-
Keep the extender connection inside the cab to protect it from dust and water ingress.
-
-
Check Tablet Indicators
-
When the tablet powers on, the GPS icon should be green. (Orange may appear during initialisation).
-
If the icon remains red, the tablet is not detecting the GPS module.
-
-
Restart the System
-
To fully power down the tablet, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds until the device switches off completely.
-
Disconnect and reconnect the GPS module (and extender if used).
-
Power the tablet back on and check the GPS icon again.
