What do I do if my camera won't connect?

If your camera isn't connecting to the HarvestEye system, please check through the following steps.

First thing to do, is to carry out a visual inspection of the system. This is to ensure that there is no physical damage to the system itself, such as damaged wires etc. If there is any physical damage, please reach out to a HarvestEye team member to get the damaged part replaced.

If there is no damage to your system, please follow through the following troubleshooting steps.

    1. Check that all of the connections going into the USB-C hub inside the cab of the harvester are securely plugged in and that the USB-C itself is securely plugged into the side of the tablet (see picture below).

    2. Check your connection from the camera cable to the Lindy cable. This is a blue female USB connection to a male USB connection inside a rectangular 3D printed box (see picture below). These connections should be securely plugged into each other. If the camera is working, there should also be a green indicator light on the blue female USB connection as shown in the above picture. Camera SOP 2
    3. If both of these connections have been checked, reboot the tablet and check if the camera is now working (the camera icon should be green on the top left corner of the main menu screen on the tablet).

    4. Carry out a visual inspection of the system. This is to ensure that there is no physical damage to the system itself, such as damaged wires etc. If there is any physical damage, please reach out to a HarvestEye team member to get the damaged part replaced.

If the troubleshooting steps listed above did not fix the issue, then please contact us at support@harvesteye.com or text us on WhatsApp (+44(0)7971 598271).
