How can I perform a calibration health check of my camera?

A camera calibration health check can be performed with the calibration card by going into "Settings" -> "Calibration" -> "Calibrate".

o maintain optimal performance and data reliability, we strongly recommend carrying out regular camera calibration health checks. This enables the HarvestEye monitoring team to assess camera condition, as sensors operating below specification can negatively affect the sizing accuracy of your crop data.

To complete a calibration check:

  1. Place the red and black checkerboard card supplied with the system on the belt, directly beneath the camera.
  2. On the tablet home screen, select SettingsCalibrationCalibrate. Once selected, the system will display measurements on screen, which are then automatically uploaded to the cloud. The average measurement should be ideally between 39-41 mm.

Calibration checks should be completed:

  • At initial system installation.
  • Whenever the system is moved to a different harvester or grading line .
  • At least once a year if the system remains in a fixed position.
